On the day of your rental, we will verify your valid driver’s license and required documents. If any
of the required documents are missing or incomplete, we may be unable to rent the vehicle to you, so please check them in advance.
Japanese driver's license
・Please bring a driver's license valid in Japan. ・You cannot use a license
that is currently suspended or has expired.
International Driving Permit (1949 Geneva Convention)
・You must have an international driver’s license issued in accordance with the 1949 Geneva Convention. ・Depending
on the issuing country, it may not be valid for use in Japan. ・Please bring
your passport as well.
Countries/Regions Requiring Translation
If you hold a driver’s license from any of the following countries or regions, you must provide
a certified Japanese translation: Switzerland
, Germany, France, Belgium, Monaco, and Taiwan
. * Please ensure that the translation is issued by JAF (Japan Automobile Federation) or a designated agency in the respective country.
To customers using an international driver's license
You cannot drive in Japan with a foreign driver's license alone.
To drive in Japan,
